QUESTION: WHY IS MY WATER GREEN?
ANSWER: A TURBID GREEN POOL IS USUALLY THE RESULT OF AN ALGAE PROBLEM.

QUESTION: WHEN SHOULD I CHANGE THE WATER IN MY SPA?
ANSWER: FOAM, ODOR OR CLOUDY WATER ARE INDICATIONS YOU SHOULD REPLACE THE WATER IN YOUR SPA.

QUESTION: HOW MANY GALLONS IS MY POOL?
ANSWER: POOL AREA X AVERAGE DEPTH X 7.5 (AVERAGE DEPTH IS SHALLOW END DEPTH + DEEP END DEPTH DIVIDED BY 2).

QUESTION: I HAVE A STRONG CHLORINE SMELL IN MY POOL IS THERE TOO MUCH?
ANSWER: ALTHOUGH IT MAY SOUND STRANGE THERE IS ACTUALLY PROBABLY NOT ENOUGH CHLORINE AND WHAT YOU SMELL ARE CHLORAMINES. TEST THE WATER AND ADD CHLORINE AS NEEDED.

QUESTION: WHICH DIRECTION SHOULD I POINT MY JETS?
ANSWER: POINT ALL JETS IN THE SAME DIRECTION TO ENSURE GOOD CIRCULATION. IT’S NEVER A GOOD IDEA TO POINT THEM UPWARD.

QUESTION: HOW OFTEN SHOULD I “SHOCK” MY POOL?
ANSWER: EVERY TWO WEEKS IS NORMALLY SUFFICIENT.

QUESTION: ARE CHLORINE FEEDERS ANY GOOD?
ANSWER: AUTOMATIC CHLORINE FEEDERS ARE AN EXCELLENT WAY TO KEEP YOUR POOL CHLORINATED AND CAN BE ADJUSTED DEPENDING ON YOUR PARTICULAR NEEDS.

QUESTION: SHOULD MY SKIMMER AND MAIN DRAIN VALVE BE OPENED ALL THE WAY?
ANSWER: YOUR SKIMMER SHOULD BE FULLY OPEN AND YOUR MAIN DRAIN VALVE ONLY PARTIALLY OPEN. A GOOD RATIO IS 75% SKIMMER 25% MAIN DRAIN AS MOST CONTAMINANTS ARE AT THE TOP 12 INCHES OF YOUR POOL. (MAKE SURE TO MAINTAIN PROPER THE WATER LEVEL IN YOUR POOL TO AVOID PUMP DAMAGE).
